Upcoming Events

The BCAC Box Office is open Tuesday-Friday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The box office is open an hour and a half before each event start time for sales at the door. At this time, all ticket sales are general admission, meaning that reserved seating is not available. Thank you for your patience as we incorporate that ability into our box office routine, as well as online ticket sales. All events are at the Turnage Theater unless otherwise noted.



7th Annual Juried Photography Exhibit
July 17 - August 14

The Beaufort County Arts Council’s 7th Annual Juried Photography Exhibit will open on Thursday, July 17, with a reception from 5:30-7:00 pm at the BCAC Gallery at the Turnage Theatre. The exhibit will run through August 14. Internationally reknowned juror Jerome De Perlinghi chose 41 works from 121 entries submitted by 36 different photographers.

The Pamlico Opry 2014
July - September
Saturday Nights @ 8:00pm

During the months of July - September, the Beaufort County Traditional Music Association & Beaufort County Arts Council will cooperatively present a series of local, grassroots, family-friendly entertainment at the Turnage Theater in downtown Washington. Tickets are available from the Turnage Theater box office and at the door. For each show, doors open at 7:00 pm and seating begins at 7:30 pm.

August 9 - Carolina Still with The Flatland Zingers
August 23 - After Jack
September 13 - John Dee Holeman & Lightnin' Wells

From Faith to Freedom Film Premier
August 16, 2014

The Beaufort County Arts Council will preview an original full-length feature film by NC director Derrick Parker at the Turnage Theatre on August 16. Mr. Parker, along with cast and crew members, will be hold a Q&A with audience members immediately following the screening. More information to come.



Throughout the year the Beaufort County Arts Council plays the proud host to several annual events that define the council and the arts in our community. These events anchor a varied and constantly growing program encompassing all the arts: music, dance, theater, etc., and our yearly fall Fine Arts Show brings the work of renowned artists hailing from all corners of the Southeast to Beaufort County's gallery go-ers.
